Zambia completes feasibility on hydro stations

Feasibility studies for the development of two hydro power stations with a combined capacity of 870MW have been completed by the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO), local media reports.
Chief engineer in charge of hydrology Romas Kamanga was quoted as saying the two projects were earmarked for construction soon.

The 750MW Kafue Gorge Lower project is expected to cost US$500M while the 120MW Itezhi- Tezhi is expected to cost of US$100M.
