Applications are open for schemes using renewable energy to improve people's quality of life while tackling environmental threats. Closing date for concept notes is 14 November 2006. Ashden Awards is an annual competition to identify and reward organisations which have carried out truly excellent, practical, yet innovative schemes, demonstrating sustainable energy in action at a local level.
