The Energy Indaba will host a World Energy Council (WEC) Africa regional meeting as a side event to the main forum in Johannesburg next year. A host of African delegates would convene at the regional meeting to debate and discuss issues pertinent to the development of the continent, including issues relating to energy poverty and access to funding. “We are delighted to once again host the WEC Africa regional meeting, which we believe adds impetus to the work and outcomes we are aiming to achieve for Africa. Our ultimate aim is to find solutions to Africa’s energy challenges and to address energy poverty for the people of Africa,” commented Energy Indaba MD Liz Hart. The Energy Indaba will be held in Sandton on March 1 and 2, with the WEC regional meeting to be held on March 3, 2011. Additional information: News date: 09/11/2010 |
